Intercontinental French Toast

frenchtoast

One of the many permutations available of egg, bread, and milk, French Toast is the business. Couple of free range eggs, cup of milk, splash of vanilla essence. Chop up the rest of a loaf of white, soak for 15 minutes, and then pan fry in butter.

Served with strawberries, freshly whipped cream (melty heaven), maple syrup, and some cinnamon powder. Big cup of freshly brewed coffee with a spoon of cream on it and that was Sunday morning.

Hi Anthony,

Good looking breakfast you had there. Today, I woke up late, therefore, could only manage some toast with peanut butter and coffee before heading out for the day. Wish I would have gotten up earlier, french toast sounds good right about now.

Peanut butter is a sad thing for a weekend breakfast, but you reminded me of Goober Grape, which is good. A quick thank you to the Hatzskys of Neustadt Ost Holstein for teaching me about relaxed breakfasts.

The photo is a little blurred but check out this pearler from tokyo goat

Until then, you didn't happen to find out what made it quite so good did you?

Now you mention it, the Walk Street Cafe in Subiaco does a very nice french toast with bacon if I remember rightly
